The Magic of Roald Dahl Performances
On Friday 29th September the whole school enjoyed a real treat when actor Anthony Pedley came into Bridge to bring the magic of Roald Dahl to life. Anthony certainly entertained the pupils and many of Roald Dahl's favourite characters came alive on stage!
P.1-P.4 enjoyed The BFG Storytelling. Anthony Pedley, who played the part of the loveable, whizz popping giant in the original stage production of the BFG, told the story of Sophie and her adventures in Giant Country. This is indeed a tale of dreams, queens, giants and snozzcumbers!
P.5-P.7 were treated to 'A Taste of Dahl'. In this performance Anthony played the part of master story teller Dahl, exploring his earlier life and influences, his style of writing and how he created some of the best known characters. He featured extracts from Dahl's books including Boy, the BFG, The Twits, The Witches, Fantastic Mr Fox, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda and George's Marvellous Medicine.
A huge thank-you to Anthony, who did indeed bring the magic of Dahl to life for us all.
