P6Trip to Lurgaboy Activity Centre
Primary 6 displayed real determination, a great sense of fun and excellent teamwork during their recent trip to Lurgaboy Activity Centre. Following the wonderful experiences of the outdoor activities on offer during their residential trip to Shanngh-More, P.6 were keen to use the money earned from their bun sale to try out more outdoor challenges.
During this trip P.6 children got to try out archery, a leap of faith, rafting, a spiderweb team building challenge and ropes courses. The pupils were amazing and it was so lovely to see pride and enjoyment displayed by pupils who challenged themselves to overcome some personal fears such as heights. Let's just say, the teachers were certainly not volunteering to try the leap of faith!!
Pupils had to work as a team to help each other get through the spider web without touching the ropes - you really had to trust team members especially if they had to be lifted through some of the higher holes! When out on the rafts in pairs the real challenge was simply staying afloat or not - as many children wanted to get wet!:)
A fabulous day was enjoyed by all! Wel done to all of the P6 pupils!
