P.6 Hold a Fabulous Fairtrade Bun Sale
On Friday 28th March, as part of our World Around Us Topic, P.6 organised and ran a Fairtrade Bun Sale. P.6 children and their parents baked delicious buns and cakes which were enjoyed by the whole school community. The event ran really smoothly with every P.6 child having a key role to play: from setting up stalls, restocking, selling, counting money, being helpful buddies to P.1-P.3 children to tidying up, selling raffle tickets and bagging extra buns up for a flash sale at 2pm!
We raised over £570 on the day and we would like to thank everyone who supported us on the day, especially our P.6 parents who generously gave of their time and efforts to support their children and us by baking lots of buns and cakes. A huge thank-you P.6 parents :-) ! With the money raised P.6 children plan to give a small donation to Christian Aid, a charity which supports Fairtrade and they hope to use the rest money for an end of year trip - something active!! We will keep you posted after children make their decisions in class councils.
Raffle Prize Winners
Some extremely kind and generous P.6 parents went above and beyond the call of duty by also baking some delicious cakes which we put in a raffle! P.6 pupils and staff's mouths were watering when we smelt some of these amazing cakes and we all hoped to be able to take one home. Below are are our lucky prize winners.
