International Cafe
Primary 7 classes hosted their International Café on Wednesday 12th February (P7YS) and on Friday 14th February (P7R) and both proved to be a wonderful success. The idea was inspired by Money Week where pupils had been learning about money management and in particular how to ensure expenditure did not exceed available funds. Before embarking on this venture Mrs Morrison, one of our parents, organised a workshop and invited four entrepreneurs to present their businesses to the children. At the outset this was very informative for the pupils, guiding them to consider aspects such as marketing, advertising, sourcing products, utilising their skills.
And then they set to task, 5 teams within each class chose a country to research and come up with products that would sell well on the day! They then had to design an advertisement that would attract buyers and they did this very successfully using iMovie. Last but my no mean least they then had to create the products, organise their stall and sell, sell, sell! The following photos, we hope will give you a 'taste' of all that was involved and we sincerely thank all the Primary 7 parents for their immense support and enthusiasm for this event - it was very much appreciated!
