Hip Hop DanceFest 2013
On Tuesday 25th June a number of keen P.6 and P.7 pupils participated in a Hip Hop Dancefest in Craigavon Civic and Confernece Centre. The competition was organised Active Communities, which is a Sport NI Lottery funded Initiative that aims to encourage people in Northern Ireland to become more active in sport and physical activity. Our pupils have been practising their hip hop dance moves with Laura as their coach for the past 7 weeks. The dance programme really inspired and encouraged all pupils, no matter what their experience of dance, to have fun, develop their co-ordination and most of all have fun!
The hip hop music was embraced by all children and their energy and enthusiasm on the stage was amazing. The standard of dancing was extremely high and was absolutely fabulous to watch. Bridge pupils in the audience certainly encouraged their friends with loud cheering and words of encouragement. Well done to all the children who participated - you all did really well and it was lovely to see your confidence and 'attitude' as you strutted your stuff!
Many thanks to Laura and Active Communites for organising the event - it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience for everyone.
