Catch Of The Day
P7 Go Fishing!
On 8th & 9th May P7YS and P7R (respectively) went fishing at Dromore pond. For some it was their first opportunity to fish. For some it was a chance to sit and relax and wait for the fish to bite. Mark who runs the angling centre set each class a challenge to see who would catch the most - girls or boys? And who would claim the prize for best fisherman or woman!!
Whilst not everyone caught a fish, everyone had the chance to experience something completely new and different.
P7R Fishing trip
When P7R went on their fishing trip Jamie Silcock was rewarded a fishing license , a fishing permit and unbelievably a free rod for being one of the most interested primary school pupils ever who had gone fishing. Mark the instructor was very impressed with Jamie. He had never given this award to a primary school pupil before.
Sarah Magennis has a phobia of fish and she only came on the trip to take photographs. Not too long into the day Sarah decided she wanted to give fishing a go. Not only did she conquer her fear she also caught two fish. She was very proud of herself! She was also awarded a voucher from David at Tesco for her achievements on the day.
